Program Overview

In response to the evolving needs of our community, Project Rebuild has expanded its suite of services to offer comprehensive support for families and youth. Our new initiatives now include Parenting Education—empowering guardians with effective strategies and resources to nurture healthy family dynamics; Tutoring Services to bolster students’ academic growth and confidence; Day Reporting, providing structured daily supervision and positive activities for youth; and Family Preservation programs dedicated to keeping families united and resilient in the face of challenges.

Benefits of the PRB Program

Family Benefits

Families experience direct effects from PRB, as students remain in school and family relationships are maintained. Parents and caregivers also have access to resources such as parenting education and employment support. Parents are now engaged in their child’s education.

School Benefits

Schools see reduced dropout and chronic absenteeism rates because of PRB participation, which leads to higher Department of Education ratings. Teachers benefit from improved classroom behavior among PRB students.

Community Benefits

Lower truancy rates are linked to less juvenile crime. PRB supports students—especially with career readiness programs—to help them become valuable community members. The program encourages local sponsors to assist families in need and offers businesses meaningful ways to contribute.

Justice System Benefits

PRB also positively impacts the justice system by diverting chronic absenteeism cases from court, freeing resources to address more serious matters. By keeping students out of jail and giving them a chance to change, PRB helps ensure space in detention facilities is reserved for dangerous offenders.

Services Provided by PRB

PRB staff, volunteers and community partners recognize that chronic absenteeism often stems from deeper issues such as undervaluing education, illiteracy, and financial instability, homelessness, mental health, and other barriers.

To address these challenges, PRB offers a broad range of services:

  • Parenting education
  • Drop-out prevention education
  • Mental health counseling
  • Tutoring and academic assistance
  • Mentoring
  • Surveying & Reporting
  • College and career readiness
  • Extracurricular activities
  • Community service opportunities
  • Employment assistance
  • Financial literacy education
  • Day Reporting
  • Trauma Assessments
  • Restorative Practices
